massage therapy tailored to you
i offer integrative massage appointments for 60, 75, or 90 minutes.
when you book an appointment with me you can look forward to a massage where i blend traditional massage methods with myofascial and other techniques to address physical pain, discomfort, stress, and nervous system disregulation. every session will be different as it is tailored to your and your needs on the day. my work is guided by intuition and grounded in extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, comprehensive understanding of the nervous system, and a deep respect for you and what your body is ready to share or release.
i also offer 30 minute head, neck, and shoulder appointments focused on relieving tension where we feel it most. these are a great option if you’re looking for quick, focused work, if you’re wanting some care but are short on time, or even as a pick me up between your regular appointments.
my current rates are:
30 minute head, neck, and shoulder: $40 - $70
60 minute integrative massage: $80 - $120
75 minute integrative massage: $95 - $140
90 minute integrative massage: $115 - $160
a note on sliding scale rates
i dream of a world where health care is accessible to everyone, but know that in reality it is cost-prohibitive to most. in the hope that my work can be more accessible to my community i offer my services on a sliding scale, with additional low-cost options for queer and trans Black, Indigenous, and non-Black people of color.
i have considered my rates carefully and in doing so have thought a lot about what it means to do this work at this time, this particular moment in history. it is a tricky thing to simultaneously despise capitalism and want to run a successful practice, and it leaves me with more questions than answers. what does it mean to offer healing while operating in an economic system that deeply wounds humanity? to be an anti-capitalist but also need to survive capitalism?
of course, i don’t have all the answers to these questions. and while it is not a perfect system, the sliding scale is the best tool i have at this time to create multiple financial access points for my clients who i know have a wide range of economic realities. it also feels complex and imperfect and I want to acknowledge that too.
alexis j cunningfolk’s writing on this has been particularly helpful so i want to include a link to their writing here, as well as a link to this graphic they created to help us visualize our own financial privilege. both have been quite clarifying for me and i hope you find them helpful as well.
what my clients say
“el is a natural healer. their massage work is as deeply intuitive as it is practical. in our sessions, i feel as if they listen with equal curiosity and skill to what my body says as what i am able to say with words. i am grateful for the healing space they hold & always leave feeling re-centered, cherished, and relieved of burden.”
— k.s.
“el’s presence is so warm and inviting - their massages always felt safe, curious to my body’s specific needs, and trauma informed. no two massages were the same, yet each massage left me feeling incredibly rested and free of tension. whether i was walking in with anxiety and needed to relax, or had a specific pain, el always worked with me to create the perfect plan for each session.”
— k.m.
“as an autistic person with sensory sensitivities and social anxiety, i’ve never felt comfortable receiving massage. working with el totally changed that! they made me feel comfortable enough to state my needs, and then they were really accomodating of them. i felt so seen and respected.”
— s.g.
“el is an exceptional massage therapist. in sessions with them, i always feel safe, warm, and free in whatever my body is experiencing. for me, their work rings with that perfect balance of skillful practice and easeful sensitivity. el brings a magnificent quality of touch and authentic listening, a session with them is always a true gift.”

what to expect
when you book with me you will receive an intake form to fill out before the appointment. the form will include questions about injuries, medications, or any significant medical events or conditions that you have.
before we begin the massage i will review your intake form and ask you a few questions that will help me provide care that is safe for you and your body. then we will discuss what you want to get out of the session and work together to establish a plan. our discussion, our plan, and any other information discussed will always remain confidential.
my style of massage therapy is performed on a massage table. after our intake conversation i will step out of the room and give you time to undress to your level of comfort – some clients wear no clothing, some prefer to keep on undergarments or other clothing. it is totally up to you! while you're on the table you will be covered by a sheet at all times and i will uncover only the part of your body that i am working on. your comfort and safety is my main priority and consent is foundational to everything we do.
i strongly believe that massage is a collaboration between the client (you!) and the practitioner, and that is how i approach every session. i welcome any and all feedback about your preferences and comfort while you're on the massage table. i want you to voice and enforce your boundaries and i will always honor them.
